Learning from our AncestorsEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 1st. Chronicles
chapter 3. In our text today we see the descendants of David, a man after God's own heart. In looking back we see those who
obeyed, disobeyed, loved, and sinned against God. In making application we see the history of a family tree. When we look
at own ancestry we see those in own family who have followed the Lord and those who haven't and in the process we see how
God blesses some and how others suffer the consequences of their actions. How about you? Do you see the history of those who
have gone before us? Let us learn from our text today to see that we need to learn from the obedience or disobedience of our
ancestors so we may learn from their history.

God has a Plan for Your Life Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 1st. Chronicles
chapter 2. In our text today we continue to see the genealogy of Israel. In this account we see how God formed his chosen
nation composed of imperfect people with a covenant or promise to Abraham. From Abraham to Isaac to Jacob who name was changed
to Israel and his sons who become the twelve tribes of Israel. In all this we see that God has a Plan for Israel. In making
application we see that not only does God have a plan for Israel but God has a plan for our lives. This plan includes Jesus-Christ
who died on the cross for our sins. In Him we have salvation if we simply repent of sins and receive Hem as Lord and Savior.
How about you? Do you see God's Plan for your life? Let us learn from our text today and the Chronicles of the generation
of Israel to see that God has a Plan for your life.

The Lord Keeps an Account of Your Life Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the book of 1st. Chronicles
chapter 1. In our text today we see the genealogy of Israel. The Lord found it important to keep an account of the life and
ancestry of these individuals as He does the same with you and me today. Your birthday is important to our Savior, as is the
account of every soul being saved which is recorded in the Lambs book of life. In making application we see how the Lord is
on his throne. He does keep an account of your life. He records every account of your life and records the day if you are
born again. How about you? Do you see the Lord is keeping an account of your life? Let us learn from our text today and the
account in the book of 1 Chronicles to remember that the Lord is keeping an account of your life.

Sin Always Complicates LifeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
25. In our text today we see Jerusalem is demolished and the leadership after the fall of Jerusalem. What catches my eye as
we come to end of this book is how 2nd Kings started with Elijah being carried to heaven as a sign of victory and ends with
with the people of Judah being carried off to foreign lands as humiliated slaves in defeat as a result of their sin. It reminds
me of a message I heard that 'Sin always complicates life", we do reap what we sow and many mistake the grace of God
with an empathy towards sin. Today we have the country embracing homosexuality along with abortion and other blatant sins
mistaking His grace towards them as a acceptance for a sinful lifestyle. How about you? Do you mistake God's Grace for sins
acceptance? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Israel and Judah in the book of 2nd Kings to remember that
"Sin always complicates life."

Giving the Enemy AccessEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
24. In our text today we see Judah exiled to Babylon with the leaders of Jehoiachin and then Zedekiah. What catches my eye
is how Judah has ignored God in how to follow the Lord and as a result God allows Nebuchadnezzar to take the treasures of
the Lord from the House of God. In making application we see that how if we ignore the instruction of the Lord the enemy will
take possession of territory in our lives. When we sin we not only loose the blessings of God we let the enemy have access
to our lives which will leave us spiritually bankrupt. How about you? Do you see how your sin allows the enemy to wreck and
ruin your life? Let us learn from our text today and the access Nebuchadnezzar had to the house of God as a result of Judah's
disobedience to learn that our sin gives the enemy access to our lives.

Acting Upon God's Word Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 23. In our text today we see Josiah destroys idol worship as he applies and acts on God's Word. Josiah looses his
life in battle and Jehoahaz his son turns back to evil. What catches my eye is how Josiah acted upon the the application of
the Bible. In making application in our own lives we must act upon Gods Word. Through faith in the black and white teachings
of the Word of God we don't have to seek God's will on the clear teachings of the Bible. It is not enough to just read and
understand the Bible we must act upon its teachings. If it is sin, it is sin, we don't have to ask God if it His Will because
if it is in the Bible it is God's Word. It reminds me of our teaching on Financial Stewardship in our online services this
month. We don't have to ask God if it is His Will for us to tithe. Tithing is clearly outlined in scripture which tells us
the Will of God for our life on this principle. The Bible is full of principles that we need to act upon in our life. How
about you? Do you obey the clear teachings in Scripture? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Josiah who not only
read the Word of God, He applied its teachings, then acted upon the application which drove out the wickedness in the nation
of Judah.

Applying God's WordEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
22. In our text today we see Josiah rules Judah and discovers a book of God's Law with the book of Deuteronomy and possibly
the Pentateuch (Genesis-Deuteronomy) and in reading God's Word made sweeping changes in the nation. God's Word reflected the
wickedness in the nation and Josiah applied what he read to governing Judah. In making application we see that God's Word
reflects our wickedness and need for a Savior. Today we have the completed cannon of Scripture and our reading it today and
everyday will instruct, encourage, rebuke, guide, and direct our lives because it is the "Living Word". How about you? Do you read your Bible everyday and apply the Scriptures to your life? Let us learn
from our text today and the life of Josiah who read God's Word and applied it to his life which changed a nation

Sowing and Reaping Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 21. In our text today we see Manasseh rules Judah and does evil in the sight of the Lord to the point where the Lord
wiped him out and turned him upside down. In making application we see the principle of sowing and reaping. Manasseh's father,
Hezekiah, had the blessings of God on his life as a testimony before him as he obeyed God yet Manasseh chose the wrong path
and paid the price with his chastised life and eventually his death. No doubt a shortened life verses his fathers longer life
showing us that the reap what we sow. How about you? Do you see that we reap what we sow? Let us learn from our text today
and the Life of Manasseh to remember that we reap what we sow.

God Rewards FaithfulnessEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
20. In our text today we see Hezekiah's illness, the Ambassadors from Babylon visit Hezekiah, and the end of Hezekiah's life.
What catches my eye is how Hezekiah was a faithful King and made a huge difference as he stood for God being a true leader.
The Lord acknowledged his faithfulness by answering his prayer adding 15 years to his life and delivering him from the hand
of king of Assyria. In making application we see that the Lord does reward our faithfulness both here on earth and Heaven
to come. Today that same truth is available to us which should motivate us to be obedient and faithful. How about you? Are
you obedient and faithful to God? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Hezekiah to remember that God rewards our
faithfulness.

Moving Mountains Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 19. In our text today we see Isaiah predicts deliverance, Hezekiah asks God for hep, and God promises safety for Jerusalem.
What catches my eye is how a Word from God that was prayed over with a small seed of faith wiped out over five thousand Assyrians.
In making application we see the same power available today. Our Nation has strayed from God but we have His Word that victory
is ours. If we simply pray over God's Word and have that same small seed of faith in our hearts we too can move mountains
and have our enemies wipe out. It reminds me of a Pastor friend I knew that wanted to build a Church on land they were given
where a mountain sat. There lease was up where they had started worshiping and they did not have the funds to level the terrain
to build a Church. They prayed with faith that God would move their mountain. After their prayer Walmart bought the land at
the bottom of the mountain by the interstate and needed a large amount of dirt to level the land for their store. Walmart
asked if they move the mountain of earth on the Churches property and you guessed it....the mountain they prayed for to be
moved was moved for free and their Church was built. How about you? Do you have a mountain to move in your life? Let us learn
from our text today and the life of Hezekiah to remember that a prayer on the truth of God's Word in His Will will move mountains.

Stand Against EvilEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
18. In our text today we see Hezekiah ruling Judah as Assyria threatens to conquer Judah. What catches my eye how Hezekiah
stood for God in the midst of a nation that was against God. God's judgement was against the land due to their failure to
drive out the pagan gods in the high places but Hezekiah drove them out. He also stood against the powerful King of Assyria
trusting the Lord. In making application we see our land worshiping many false gods and our leaders being as the King of Assyria.
We need to be as Hezekiah, driving out false gods in our lives, rebuking evil, standing our ground, proclaiming the Word of
the Lord. How about you? Are you taking a stand for God in a nation that is moving in the other direction? Let us learn from
our text today and the life of Hezekiah to drive out the false gods of our lives, rebuke evil, standing our ground, proclaiming
the Word of our Lord who will bring Victory to our lives.

Repent While You Can Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 17. In our text today we see Israel is exiled to Assyria as Hoshea rules Israel. It was the rejection of God that
caused Israels' exile and foreigners come to populate the land. What catches my eye is how grace ends and judgment commences
on the land. Now for generations Israel continued to worship other Gods. In making application we see how God's grace does
come to an end and the hand of judgement will come to sinners. Today we see our land sinning against God and we are lulled
into a seance that there is no judgement for sin. Abortion, homosexuality, promiscuity, gambling, drunkenness, along with
modern day idol worship will soon see God's Grace come to an end and the wrath of God come full circle. How about you? Do
you see the grace of God coming to an end and the wrath of God coming to this land? Let us repent and turn from our sin by
learning from today text and other examples of grace and judgement in the Bible. As Jesus said, "repent, for the kingdom
of God is at hand."

Sin Dwelling in Our Homes Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 16. In our text today we see Ahaz ruling Judah. What catches my eye is verse 3 where Ahaz was so depraved that he
sacrificed his own son to heathen gods. This was a practice of the the Canaanites that were supposed to have been driven out
of the land. In making application we see that as head of the household we are to drive out the sin in our homes or it too
can cause our children to be sacrificed. As parents, today we have sin that we allow to come into homes. We need to drive
it out this sin unless our kids suffer to its consequences of destruction just as Ahaz did in hid time. How about you? Do
you see the need to drive out the sin in your life and in your home? Let us learn from Ahaz and death of his son to remember
that if we allow sin to dwell in our homes that it might take that which is most valuable to us, our kids.

Rebuilding the WallsEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
15. In our text today we see Azariah rules Judah, Zachariah rules Israel, followed by Shallum, Menahem, Pekahiah, and Pekah.
What catches my eye is how Azariah rebuilt the walls in Judah that were torn down before his reign. His dedication and devotion
allowed Judah to experience peace and prosperity that rivaled the days of Solomon. In making application we see a truth that
applies today. If we rebuild the walls that sin has torn down we too will experience the peace and prosperity of Azariah.
This process takes the same dedication and devotion of God's Word and Prayer that Azariah displayed in this wall. How about
you? Do you see the need to rebuild the walls that have been torn down in your life by sin? Let us learn from our text today
and the life of Azariah to rebuild the walls in our lives that have been torn down by sin through repentance, devotion, and

We are Each Accountable to GodEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
14. In our text today we see Amaziah ruling Judah and Jeroboam the II ruling Israel.
What catches my eye is now that Amaziah is King he did what was right by killing those who had slain his father but the children
of his enemy he did not kill stating the law of Moses that said that each man is to put to death for his own sin. In making
application we see that everyone is accountable to God for his or her sin. I have talked to folks about their salvation to
have them say their father is a member of the Church or their family has been a part of a religion for years. The truth is
that each person is accountable for their sin and must be saved on an individual basis to go to Heaven. Your dad could have
been a pastor of a Church but his position in the Church has no bearing on your eternal destiny. How about you? Are you Saved?
Are you trusting in your relationship with the Lord or are you trusting in what others have done? Let us learn from our text
today and the life of Amaziah to learn that we are Accountable to God for our own sin.

Simple Obedience Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 13. In our text today we see Jehoahaz rules Israel and when he passes we see Joash taking the throne of Israel. What
catches my eye is how Joash halfhearted followed the instruction of Elisha when he was told to strike the floors with the
arrows. In making application we see that we too need to follow the instruction of the Lord. A half hearted obedience to the
Word of God will not deliver the full benefits of obedience as Israel learned in its conflict with Syria. Some have the issue
of having to know all of God's Plan before they obey. God tells us to simply obey His Word and leave the consequences to Him.
How about you? Do you obey the Lord 100% and leave the consequences to Him? Let us learn from our text today and the life

Repairer of the Breach Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 12. In our text today we see the account of Joash ruling Judah. What catches my eye is the breach that was made in
the house of God. The temple was in need of repair and the people of the land were unfaithful with their funds giving them
in sacrifice to the pagan gods so Joash put a chest out before the people of God to donate to the house of God to repair the
breach. In making application we see the Lord's financial plan for the House of God. Today we have the Church and the congregation
are to pay the finances of the Church with tithes and offerings. The staff and building are to be kept by these finances of
the congregation as well as the fulfilling the great commission of reaching the world with the Gospel both here and around
the Globe. According to an article from Christianity Today it said that only 2.6% of those who call themselves Christians
tithe and only 25% of regular Church members tithe. This means that the Church is hindered in its mission of repairing the
breach both fiscally and spiritually. How about you? Are you a Christian? Do you tithe? Let us learn from our text today and
the example of the Chest of Joash to give according to the instruction of the Bibles so the Church will be continue in its

Taking a StandEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
11. In our text today we see Athaliah rules Judah and Young Joash becomes King. What catches my eye today is how the people
followed Jehoiada, the man of God, in the covenant between Lord and the King to drive out the false idols and religion of
Baal which the Kings before allowed to stay in the land. In making application today we too still have false God's and religion
that dwell in the land. From religions that deny the existence of the deity of Jesus-Christ to the modern idols of materialism.
It is up to the body of Christ, starting from the Pulpit to the pew, to make a covenant with God to drive out this modern
day Baal Worship through the body of Christ sharing the Gospel. We need to stand for God from the Schoolhouse to the White
house. From the Workplace to the Marketplace. Everywhere we go the power of the Gospel and the decision to stand for Christ
by the whole body will drive out this false god worship. How about you? Do you see the need to stand for Christ in our current
day land? Let us learn from our text today and the direction of Jehoiada to take a stand for the Lord and drive out the false
gods that inhabit our land.

Finding Joy Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 10. In our text today we see Jehu kills Ahab's family, then the priests of Baal. In his zeal he went beyond his call
as Hosea speaks of in the book of Hosea 1:4-5. In making application we see that we too can beyond the calling and direction
of God to mix our personal ambitions and desires in with the Will of God. We must seek the Lord and do what he calls us to
do. If will follow the Lord we will find that our joy is found in our obedience in his calling. It reminds me of a Pastor
who led his first small country Church to leave for a bigger Church in the city. His zeal and ambition caused him leave his
known calling to experience a more prestigios position with more money. He found out that he lost his joy because the small
country Church is where God nit his heart and when he went back his joy was restored. Now we all have a ministry and if we
seek the Lord he will show you what to do and we will experience His joy when we do the Lord's Will. How about you? Do you
see that Lord Has a specific plan for your life and if you follow His path you will find joy? Let us learn from our text today

A Holy God of Justice and Judgement Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 9. In our text today we see Jehu is anointed king of Israel, kills Joram and Ahaziah, concluding with Jezebels' terrible
death. What catches my eye is this account of Jehu bringing justice to these who brought oppression to Israel. For those who
suffered at the hands of these oppressors I am sure they wondered if justice would ever come but God did judge these evil
leaders in His time. In making application it seems that evil leaders of this day are getting away with their oppressive sinful
decisions. The same judgement that Jehu brought will visit them too. Now it is not God's Will that those who embrace evil
will perish, but rather, His will is that they come to repentance with salvation. For those who reject the grace of God and
His free pardon of sin unfortunately will see the Justice of a Holy God. Not just leaders but Nations along with every individual.
God is just, He does judge sin and sinners. How about you? Do you see that our God is a God of justice? Let us learn from
our text today and life of Jehu to see that God is a Holy God and a God of Justice.

The Lord Repays our SacrificeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
8. In our text today we see A woman's land is returned, Hazael murders King Ben-hadad, and the rulers of Judah, Jehoram and
Ahaziah. What catches my eye is the account of woman who followed the advice of Elisha to leave for the famine. She left all
that she had in obedience to follow the Lord's instruction given by Elisha. When she returned and the King saw what the Lord
had done he restored her land back to her and even replacing the fruit it produced. In making application we see a principle
in the Word of God that if we obey the Lord's calling then the Lord will repay a sacrifice. Today the Lord still calls us
to do things that seem to cost us a sacrifice but just in our text today the Lord will repay. It reminds me of my son who
gave $20 that he was saving for some lego's. He felt the Lord would have him to give this money so he could provide a few
Bibles for a needy soul. After giving his money my wife called Lego to see if we could purchase a set of lego's to reward.
When the Christian lady we talked to heard of what my son did she sent us 2 huge boxes of lego's worth $1000 for FREE. The
Lord repaid his sacrifice. How about you? Do you see this principle in your life of God repaying our sacrifices? Let us learn

Go and Tell OthersEach day we walk

be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter 7. In our text today we see the account
of the 4 lepers who discovered the abandoned camp. What catches my eye is how once these lepers found this camp of supplies
- they then remembered those they left behind who were still starving. In making application we see that us who have been
saved and are enjoying the blessings of God have an obligation to go tell the others we know how Jesus-Saves. The apostle
Paul described it as a debt that must be paid. How could I be so selfish as to not tell others what the Lord did for me when
I heard the Gospel and was Saved. No matter how you look at it, if you have been saved, you too have an obligation to share
the Gospel. How about you? Do you see the obligation to share your testimony to others? Let us learn from our text today and
story of the lepers who found the life saving provisions at the camp with the obligation to tell others who will perish with

Giving God's Message Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 6. In our text today we see Elisha makes a an ax head float, captures an army, and predicts the end of a famine. What
catches my eye is how the King of Syria who suffered at the hand of God wanted to kill Elisha, the messenger of God. In this
text God protected Elisha. In making application we see God's protective hand when God has us to do His Will. When God gives
us a message we must be bold to stand and deliver His Word and leave the consequence to our Lord. Now sometimes the Lord allows
us in his will to be martyrs like Tyndol but even in martyrdom our Lord is in control, we are in His Hand, and He has a Will
and Plan for our lives. How about you? Do you see that you are in the Hand of God and we are to do His Will? Let us learn

Humble Yourself Before the LordEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter
5. In our text today we see The healing of Naaman the leper. What catches my eye is how Naaman was outraged when treated like
an ordinary man by Elisha. Being to proud to follow the instruction of the man of God Naaman had to learn the lesson of humbling
himself before the Lord. In making application we see that we have to do the same today. God's ways are not our ways and God
uses situations that we make think are beneath us to humble ourselves. It reminds me of a time I had a flat on a major interstate
in Atlanta. I pulled off the road to discover my spare was flat and I was missing a part of my jack. A man who was living
in his car came over and helped me change my tire. I had to humble myself to receive his help and I discovered that my pride
could have hindered me from receiving a blessing from the Lord. Just as Naaman I could have missed God if it weren't from
being humbled. How about you? Do you see the need to humble yourself before the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and
the life of Nahaan to learn the principle that we must be humble before the Lord.

You Cannot Out-Give God Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
Chapter 4. In our text today we see God working in the life and Ministry of Elisha as he provides oil for a women. Restores
a child to life, makes a poisonous stew edible, and feeds 100 men. What catches my eye is the account of the Shunammite woman
as her and her husband prepared a room for Elisha to stay sensing a need in his life. This act of kindness was done as an
expression of worship to God. In the end the Lord blessed this couple with a child as he expressed His love toward this couple.
In making application we see the principle that we cannot out give God. Items given (possessions, time, and talents) given
to God in this same expression of worship with a pure heart will be given over and above what we can ask of think. I have
seen this in my own life as the Lord gives and gives. Today many are faced with the challenge of giving as we approach a new
year, Tithing, giving, and use of talents and time are expression of worship. The greater the sacrifice made with a pure heart
- the greater the expression of love will be from the Lord as He gives you the desires of your heart. How about you? Do you
see that you cannot out give God? Let us learn from our text today and the example of the Shunammite women to remember that
we if we give with a pure heart then God will reward us and fulfill the principle that
you cannot out give God.

Drifting From GodEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings Chapter 3. In our text today we see Elisha predicts
Israel's victory over over Moab and Jehoshaphat needing water and the man of God to get a word to God for their needs. What
catches my eye is the decline of Israel having to seek for the Lord's advice when in times past King David daily sought the
priests and prophets for the Lord's direction. In making application we see that it is God that stays constant and us that
drift from Him. I have found this in my own life as I have wondered where is God to realize it is me that has drifted. It
reminds me of a time at the beach where I found myself drifting far from the coast in a rip tide. It was me just going with
the flow of my surroundings instead of me paying attention and making an effort to swim against current. We do this in our
spiritual lives by going with the flow of life, ignoring God, and we find that we have drifted from God. How about you? Have

A Double Portion Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text
to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of 2nd. Kings
chapter 2. In our text today we Elijah taken to heaven and see the beginning of Elisha's
Ministry as he purifies the water and faces being mocked. What catches my eye today is how Elisha asked for a double portion
of Elijah's prophetic power. God granted this request because Elisha's motives were pure. Elisha was not after doing more
than Elijah but to accomplish more for the Lord. In making application we can see that God will grant our petitions if our
motives are pure and are made in accordance to the Lords Will. No obstacle is too large, No river is too wide. How about you?
Are you facing an obstacle in your life that requires a Double Portion of God's prophetic power? Let us learn from our text
today and the life of Elisha to realize that no matter what we face in this world the "Double Portion" of our Lord's
Power is available to us if we call upon the Lord with a pure heart to do His Will.
