A Relationship with the LordEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter
7. In our text today we see Job stopped talking to Eliphaz and talked straight to God. Talking straight to God allowed him
to express his feelings directly instead of acting out to others. In making application we see the need to talk to the Lord
directly about our relationship to Him. Let Him know how you feel, not for His sake - for He already knows, but for your sake
to avoid bitterness, seeking wisdom and guidance from the Lord. How about you? Do you have a relationship with the Lord and
tell Him how you feel when going through times of discouragement? Let us learn from our text today and the example Job set
before us as he talk to the Lord and had a relationship with Him.

TastelessEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter
6. In our text today we see Job speak and address the critical unfounded words of Eliphaz. Job said his advice what like eating
the whites of an egg, "tasteless". In making application we see that ill-advised counsel is just as tasteless. Be
Quick to give Compassion but be slow to give advice to those who are hurting. A wise man once said," folks will listen
to what you know - when they know how much you care" How about you? Are you quick to criticize others in their time of
need? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to quick to give compassion and slow to give tasteless advice.

Personal Application to God's Word Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book
of Job with Chapter 5. In our text today we see Eliphaz
continuing his speech to Job sharing truths from the Word of God but continue to make wrong assumptions. In making application
we see the need to preach or proclaim the truth but to make a personal application verses a projected application. We will
be judged by God personally so personal application is needed when dividing the Word of God. Yes, preach the Word, preach
against sin, preach on the results of sin, then allow the Lord to convict. It takes Holy Ghost Conviction to bring a person
to a place of repentance. How about you? Do you make personal application of God's Word to your sin? Let us learn from our
text today and the mistakes of Eliphaz to remember to make personal application to the Word of God.

Hating Sin while Loving the SinnerEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help
us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter
4. In our text today we see Eliphaz speaks
and falsley accuses Job of his sin causing his affliction. The Bible says judge not lest ye be judged but it says we are to
rebuke sin. In making application we see that we should be slow to accuse others in the results of their lives but we are
also to not to overlook sin in our lives and community. The results and judgement are the Lords but we are still not to overlook
sin. Loving sinners and hating sin while not passing judgement should be the goal of every believer. How about you? Are you
quick to judge? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Eliphaz and Job to remember to love the sinner while still
hating sin.

Keeping our Faith in AdversityEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter
3. In our text today we see
Job speak under the affliction and pain of his current circumstances. Although he is upset and speaks of his death in travail,
he does not curse God but rather had faith that if God has him alive he must cling to his faith. In making application we
can see the importance in faith in the midst of our personal storms. Once we realize God is in control and have placed out
faith in Him we must cling to our Lord with the same attitude of Job. If it is my time to go I am ready but as long as God
puts breath in my lungs I will serve the Lord. How about you? Are you facing tough times that test your faith? Let us learn
from our text today and the faithfulness of Job to remember to keep our faith in the midst of adversity.

God is in ControlEach day we walk through the Bible chapter
by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text.
Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 2. In our text today we see how God permits Satan to destroy Job's health. As we learned in chapter
1 there is nothing that happens to us that does not go through God's Permissive Hand. Today we see that the Lord even places
limits on what can happen to us within His Permissive Hand. He is total control and although Satan is pacing after us like
a Lion, the Lord is in total control. In making application we need not be afraid of Satanic attacks because they are allowed
by God and limited in reach and effectiveness. In these attacks God has a plan to sift us as wheat is sifted to separating
the chaft and grain. This process purifies us for His Good and His Glory. How about You? Are you scared when facing the enemy
attacks in your life? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember to not fear enemy but understand that
God is in total control.

God's Permissive HandEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the Book of Job with Chapter
1. In our text today we see
the beginning of Job being tested as his character is revealed for us to understand who is Job? We see Job's wealth is destroyed
by Satan. What catches my eye is how Satan cannot touch Job unless God allows it to happen. In making application we see how
anything that happens to us must pass through God's Permissive Hand. Some ask why would a good God allow bad things to happen
to us? As we will see as we go through this book we find that God allows us to go through momentary light afflictions because
He has a bigger and better plan for our lives. These trails we face allow us to grow and mature for future and eternal benefits
to us. Like a bad tasting medicine these seasons of testings are for our good and His Glory. How about you? Are you facing
a bad circumstance in your life? Let us be encouraged and learn from our text today to remember that every eternal good thing
for us passes through God's Permissive Hand.

IntegrityEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we conclude with the Book of Esther with
Chapter 10. In the book of Esther , we clearly see God at work in the lives of individuals and in the affairs of a nation.
Even when it looks as if the world is in the hands of evil men, God is still in control protecting us. Although we may not
understand everything happening around us, we must trust in God's protection, have integrity, and do what we know is right.
In making application today we still live around evil. God is God and He is in control. Our responsibility is to simply trust
him, have integrity, and follow His Word in doing what is right. How about you? Do you continue to do what is right in the
midst of evil surroundings? Let us learn from our text today and the book of Esther to have integrity and do what is right
even though we live in a day where evil is all around us.

Remember the VictoriesEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book of Esther with
Chapter 9. In our text today we see the Jews are delivered and triumph over their enemies. To remember the day Mordecai inaugurated
the feast of Purim to remember the day. In making application we see the importance of remembering the victories the Lord
gives us in our lives. We have short memories and it is important to mark the victories some way in our lives. Today we have
Christmas and Easter to remember the birth and resurrection of Christ. We too, need to remember the personal victories with
special events to remember and share with other in future days. The day you were saved, baptized, married, etc. are all days
to celebrate and share with those you love. How about you? Do you mark the victories in your life with some way to remember
what God has done for you? Let us learn from our text today, the victory God gives, and the feast of the Purim for the importance
of remembering the victories God gives us in our lives.

Salvation in Jesus-Christ AloneEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book of Esther with
Chapter 8. In our text today we see the king make a decree for the Jews deliverance. What catches my eye is the verse 8 when
the king wrote the decree in His Name and Sealed it with His Ring, which no man could reverse. In making application we see
a picture of what our Lord has done at Calvary. Making Salvation for all who come to Him and then sealing it with His Blood
which no man can reverse. All Authority is given to our Lord as He defeated Death, Hell, and the Grave. How about you? Have
you received Salvation through the confession and repentance of your sin to a Holy God through His Son Jesus? If not let me
plead with you to call upon His Name for as we see with the application in our text today, Jesus is Lord, Salvation is in
His Name, and Sealed with His Blood.

Chapter 7. In our text today we see the King hanging Haman as his hatred and evil plotting turned against him as the King
discovered his true intentions. In making application we see a picture of how the Lord does judge evil men. It may seem that
some are getting away with their evil acts and even their oppression and plotting against us but the Lord is in control. He
is working on His timetable according to His Will and Purpose. Make no mistake, we will all give an account for our lives
before a Righteous and Holy God. How about you? Are you facing evil people in your life that plot and plan against you? Don't
worry, God is in control, He will judge sinners, Let us learn from our text today and the Life of Hamen to remember that Lord
uncovers the plans of sinners and judges every man according to their sin.

Is God Working in My Life? Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book
of Esther with Chapter 6. In our text today we see how the king honors Mordecai as he reviews the recorded good deeds of Mordecai.
This story pictures our Lord working in our lives. In making application we see how the Lord is Quietly and Patiently working.
Yes, working all things together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. For most of
us it seems as if nothing is happening and we ask "where is God?" in our situations but the truth is that the Lord
hears our prayers and has His Plan in action even though we don't always see or understand His Workings. How about you? Do
you get frustrated and discouraged when you don't see the Lord working on your timetable? Let us learn from our text today
and the testimony of Mordecai to remember the Lord is working in your life even when you don't realize His quiet, patient
plan.

God is in ControlEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book
of Esther with Chapter 5. In our text today we see Esther interceding for the Jews as she appears before the king. What catches
my eye is, although it took faith for Esther to intervene, it was God who was in control providing the victory for the Jewish
nation. In making application we are reminded that even though it takes faith to move a mountain it is God who moves the mountain.
I don't know what you are facing today but remember that God is in Control. Yes, have faith and act but leave the results
up to our Lord. How about you? Do you remember that God is in control? Let us learn from our text today and the example of
Esther to remember that God is in Control.

Shoe-leatherEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book
of Esther with Chapter 4. In our text today we see Mordecai asks Esther to help and Esther risks her life to petition the
King. Esther had faith and acted upon it to save the Jews. In making application we see the principle of acting on our faith.
True faith produces a work and reminds me of what a old preacher said that true faith has "shoe-leather" on it,
meaning our faith will get us come to our feet and go down an isle and then go to others as we share our faith. He said a
good Christian could be measured by wearing out the leather soles of your shoes, or shoe-leather, because of their activity.
How about you? Do you have faith in God? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Esther to act on our faith putting
a little shoe-leather to what we believe.

Stand Against the EnemyEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book
of Esther with Chapter 3. In our text today we see the Jews threatened as Haman plans to exterminate the Jews. Just as in
the past, the present, and in the future the enemies of God try to have God's People bow to the enemies and worship their
false god's. In making application we see the same attacks in our lives. Today ungodliness is all around us and the people
of God have the ungodly attempting to have us bow to their false gods just as Haman attempted. God will prevail and He instructs
us to stand to these attacks. As we do He fights our battles for us, we are not to bow or retreat in the heat of the battle.
Remember David and Goliath, Daniel in Lions den, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego in the furnace, and all the other examples in
the Bible, we are instructed to stand when the enemy comes against us. How about you? Are you faced with ungodly attacks in
your life? Let us learn from our text today as those who will come against you because you are a child of the King, to stand,
and not bow when faced with the attacks of the enemy.

of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book
of Esther with Chapter 2. In our text today we see the King chooses Esther to be his Queen. Her position is a result of the
Kinsman redeemer Mordecai, her uncle, who took her in and raised her as her own when her parents died. In making application
we have a kinsman redeemer who is Jesus-Christ. Who adopts us into the family of God once we call upon his name for salvation.
Once in the family we are joint aries with Christ having all the benefits as one who is born as a natural child. How about
you? Are you saved? If so you have a kinsman redeemer who has adopted you into the family of God and you now are a joint Aires
of Jesus-Christ sharing all the benefits of being a child of the King.

In the Hand of GodEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the Book of Esther
with Chapter 1. In our text today we see Queen Vashti is disposed of which makes way for Esther in tomorrows text. What catches
my eye in the book of Esther is that even those Jews who were scattered in the province of the heathen, they were taken care
of, and were wonderfully preserved, when threatened with destruction. In making application we see the Hand of God protecting
us in the midst of a chaotic and ungodly world. As Christians we need that we are in the Hand of God and he will protect and
deliver us when surrounded by the enemy. How about you? Are you worried in these ungodly last days? Let us learn from our

How to live a Successful Christian LifeEach day we
walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications
can be made from each day's text. Today we come to the end of the book of Nehemiah with Chapter 13. In our text today we see
the foreigners expelled, people supporting the Levites, a reinstitution of the Sabbath, and Nehemiah opposing marriage to
heathens. In looking at this chapter and the complete book of Nehemiah we can make so many applications in our relationship
with the Lord. From Worship to Prayer, to Giving, to Living, we see a roadmap for a successful Christian life. Many people
have questions on how to live a Christian life and the answers are all in the Bible. How about you? Do you see the application

Supporting those who MinisterEach day we

can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 12. In our text today we see the dedication
of the city walls and arrangements were made for supporting the Levites. In making application we see the need to financially
support those who work in the Ministry and the House of God. God's plan is for the the tithes and offerings to supply income
and support for Pastors and Ministers. Today many of Pastor friends are grossly underpaid for their service. A good reference
point is to pay your Pastor the same as others in your congregation with equal amounts of education and experience. How about
you? Do you pay your Pastors and Ministers a fair wage for the sacrifice they make to you and your family? Let us learn from

The Blessings of the ChurchEach day we
walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications
can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 11. In our text today we see Nehemiah
establishing policies as the people occupy the restored city. What catches my eye is the amount of people who did not want
to move back into the city because of commitment and responsibility required to be part of the community. In making application
we see a picture of the Church today. Many who claim salvation refuse to get involved in the Church being a working part of
the body. Their lack of commitment and responsibility weakens the body and it leaves them on the outside of the benefits of
the community which protects them from the enemy. How about you? Are you saved? Are you an active member of the Church? Let

Biblical TithingEach day we
walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications
can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 10. In our text today we see the people
agree to obey as they reestablish the tithe, bringing it to the House of God, so that there might be meat in the house to
Minister to those in need. In making application we see the tithe as an act of worship for the believer. The tithe belongs
to the Lord and the tithe is to be used to minister or serve others for restoration. Today some have lost the Biblical application
of the tithe, both in giving and in the Church application of using the funds to Minister. The proper view is the tithe belongs
to the Lord and is to be used to serve others, providing staff to serve, a building to worship, and to restore those who are
in need. Not so much a hand out but a helping hand to get others to provide for their need. Meeting both spiritual needs as
well as the financial needs of the congregation while reaching out to the world with the Gospel. How about you? Do you tithe
to your local Church? If so, does your Church follow Biblical Guidelines in the use of these funds? Let us learn from our

can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 9. In our text today we see Ezra, the
Spiritual leader of Israel, leading the people in confession and repentance. What catches my eye is the patience of our Lord
and His acceptance of repentant sinners. Make no mistake, there is time when God shuts the door and opportunity to repent
ends but today is the day of repentance. If you are reading this today, then today is your day of repentance, we are not promised

The Instruction of the WordEach day we
walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications
can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 8. In our text today we see the beginning
of the reforming of the people as Ezra renews the covenant as he reads the law from a pulpit made of wood and the people made
application of the Scriptures and worshiped the Lord. In this text we see the structure for our current worship services as
we preach the Word of God from the pulpit and the Holy Spirit uses the Word to Convict the Hearts of men. This is the importance
of assembling ourselves at God's House so we can receive the things we need for a successful Christian life. How about you?

can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 7. In our text today we see Nehemiah giving
instruction for guarding the wall now that it has been completed, getting organized, and taking account of the resources that
God has given Israel. In making application we see that the Lord has rebuilt the walls in our lives when He saves us but there
still is an enemy that wants to attack us to tear down our witness. Now once we are saved the enemy cannot touch our salvation
but we need to be as Nehemiah, getting organized, and using the resources that He provides to avoid an attack of the enemy
that can steal out joy and our testimony. How about you? Are you saved? If so, are you using the resources that He is giving
you to fight the enemy? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Nehemiah to be organized to defend ourselves from

can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 6. In our text today we see Nehemiah facing
continued opposition to rebuilding the walls as the enemy attacks his character. The Lord prevailed though as the workers
complete the walls. In making application we see that the enemy will attempt to attack us by any means. When we face this
opposition we need to remember that "Jesus" is our reputation. He is our shield and buckler. We need not defend
ourselves but simply stand behind the cross letting Him fight our battles. How about you? Do you allow Jesus to be you reputation?
Let us learn from our text today to stand behind our Lord, letting Him fight our battles, making no apologies for following
our Lord-Jesus because He is our reputation.

Restoring those in NeedEach day we
walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications
can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Nehemiah Chapter 5. In our text today we see Nehemiah defending
the poor as usury is explained as some take advantage others in need to then take their land. In making application we see
usury being used today. Title pawn loans, Pay day loans, Lotteries, etc. all are business that are arranged to to take advantage
of those who cant manage their resources. The Lord does not approve of one taking advantage of others. The Lord would have
us help our brother in need with the goal of restoring them. Not a hand out but a helping hand of restoration. A wise saying
is give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, but teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. How about you? Do
you help your brother in need verses taking advantage of their weaknesses? Let us learn from our text today and the instruction
of Nehemiah to avoid usury and restore our brothers, teaching them, helping them as Christ has helped us.

Prayer PartnersEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book
of Nehemiah Chapter 4. In our text today we see the enemies of Israel opposing the rebuilding of the walls. In opposition
Nehemiah prayed and prepared devising a plan of teamwork of spreading out having one work while the other protected and watched
over the worker. In making application we see the plan for working together in the Body of Christ. Prayer partners and accountability
groups are excellent ways to be strong in the Lord as we face the enemy and his attacks. Having a partner pray for you and
keeping an eye on your Christian walk helps keep us focused on the Lord and avoid the pitfalls in life. How about you? Do
you have a prayer or accountability partner to help warn you of the enemy attacks in your life. Let us learn from our text
today and the life of Nehemiah to remember to watch out for each other as we serve the Lord.

me to be your Director of the United States Bible Society, Inc. My name is David Burnette and I am so blessed to serve this

Our vision and mission is to distribute His Word in these last of the last days. Our Mission
is to reach the 1/2 of the World who has never seen a Bible and the 75% of the World who does not own a Bible. Our Method
is to simply depend on the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as we inform the Body of Christ of the World Wide Bible
Shortage. As the Holy Spirit burdens believers we will print, purchase, and recycle older Bibles, then network with Ministries
and Missionaries to place Bibles in the hands of needy souls. A special thanks to our Friends at the Spread the Word
Bible College & Seminary for the Honorary Doctors of Divinity Degree. It a great honor to be associated with your University.
