Wisdom Comes from the Lord
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 32. In our text today we see Young Elihu speaking to the 3 friends of Job as he criticized them for their unfruitful speech. What catches my eye is verses 7-9 where Elihu stated that God was the only source of true wisdom. In making application we see that wisdom is still sought today. The problem is that man seeks after mans wisdom that is fleeting and changing while the wisdom of the Lord is true and unshakable. We learned the fear or reverence of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. Once we acknowledge Him we can seek His wisdom which is true and unshakable. How about you? Do you seek your wisdom from God or Man? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job along with the wisdom of Elihu to remember that True Wisdom comes from the Lord.

The Pursuit of Wealth
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 31. In our text today we see Job continuing to speak on his trials. What catches my eye is verses 24-28 when Job says that depending on wealth for happiness is idolatry. In making application we see this dependence on wealth that drives our nation. We have replaced God, Church, and Family with a lust for wealth. Many don't have a relationship with the Lord, go to Church, or spend time with their family because they embraced the pursuit of wealth as their God. How about you? Do you put your job or career ahead of your time with the Lord, Church attendance, or family time? Let us learn from our text today and the advice of Job to realize that dependance on wealth is idolatry.

Cling to God
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 30. In our text today we see Job express his heart as we hear of his pain and anguish during this trial. In making application we that there is pain in this world. We can respond to this pain by clinging to God or we can run from God. The truth is that in this world of sin we will all suffer pain and discouragement. How we respond will effect our lives and our families. Cling to God in the hard times even when it seems like He is far away. The Lord never moves but we do. How about you? How do you handle the seasons of pain in your life? Do you cling to God or do you Run from Him. Let us learn from our text today and how Job handled his pain to follow his example of Clinging to God.

Sins Destructive Path
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 29. In our text today we see continuing with his parable and as he talks he allows pride to surface. Pride in any form is dangerous because it seperates us from God thinking we are better than we are. THe Pride then takes us to place of trusting our own opinions over the Lord which leads us into sin. In making application we see the warning to avoid pride at all costs. Even when we are right or living Godly we are to give the glory to God and avoid pride or we too could end in a sinful destructive path. How about you? Do you see the destructive path of Pride? Let us be reminded in our text today this destructive path that pride will take us so we will avoid this trap of the enemy.

Fear the Lord
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 28. In our text today we see Job continue to speak on the as he outlines the riches of the Lord and in verse 28 he speaks of the fear of the Lord. A theme throughout the Bible. This word fear means to respect and reverence the Lord and fear is the starting point to find wisdom. In making application we see that we need to fear the Lord. Understanding that he owns it all and in control of it all with all knowledge and power. When we see who He is then we can attain wisdom as it places us in the humble position to seek Him. How about you? Do you fear the Lord? Let us learn from our text today as Job explains to respect and reverence the Lord so we will fear Him and attain wisdom.

A Clear Conscience
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 27. In our text today we see Job continuing to speak with his parables explaining how his conscience was clear before God. In making application we see that, we too, can have a clear conscience before the Lord. We can't claim sinless lives but we can claim forgiven lives and that forgiveness comes through Jesus-Christ. How grateful I am that I can lay my head on my pillow each night knowing my sins are forgiven and my eternal home is in Heaven. How about you? Do you have a clear conscience before the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to be reminded we can have a clear conscience when our sins are forgiven through salvation in Jesus-Christ.

Having Compassion
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 26. In our text today we see Job again attacking his friends comments with sarcasm. They show no compassion, even after Job explains that he had done nothing to deserve this ridicule. In making application we are again reminded the need for compassion, compassion for the needy, compassion for the sick, and compassion for the sinner. If not for the grace of God it could be you or I in that situation. Remember it was God who first loved us and gave His Son so we could receive His compassion. How about you? Do you have compassion toward those in need? Let us learn from our text today and the dialog of Job and his friends to be reminded to have compassion for those in need.

Justified by God
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 25. In our text today we see Bildad speak with little reply to the conversation of Job and his friends leaving us with this short chapter. Bildad does not acknowledge Job's words but does state a truth from their dialog. Since a man is born of sin - how can he be justified by God? How can sinful man be ok in the eyes of a Holy God? It takes a God sized payment to justify man and that payment is Jesus-Christ. All God - All man, Jesus paid a price we could not pay and made a way for man to be justified before a Holy God. If we repent and receive, by faith, the finished work at Calvary, then we can be saved. How about you? Have you been saved? Let us learn from our text today and the conversation of Job and his friends to remember how a man can be justified by a Holy Righteous God.

Yield to the Truth
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 24. In our text today we see Job addressing the course of the wicked as they experience grace and seem to go unpunished, then are faced with the truth of their sin, to end up in destruction and death. In making application we see the same path of sin today. Living in the Church Age and a time where the Lord extends grace to the sinner. We see the sinner presented with the truth and forgiveness through Christ. Sadly they reject the truth to finally face judgement and Hell instead of forgiveness and Heaven. We all have to make that choice. How about You? Do you follow the example that Job describes in our text today? Let us learn from today's text to remember to yield to the truth of the Bible and repent to receive forgiveness and Salvation lest we too face the judgement and Hell.

Stay Faithful
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 23. In our text today we see Job replying to the third round of discussions with his questioning of God because he did not understand God's plan. In making application we too can be as Job questioning God because we don't know or understand His plan for our lives. Ours is not to understand but to obey God and stay faithful through the journey. When we look back as God's plan unfolds we will see how He worked in our lives. How about you? Do you get discouraged when you don't see or understand what God is doing? Let us learn from todays text and the life of Job to remember to stay faithful even when we don't see or understand God's plan for our lives.

Talk is Cheap
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 22. In our text today we see the third round of discussions as Eliphaz speaks but still doesn't listen to Job as he outlines repentance of which Job is not in need of. What catches my eye in all of this dialog is why wont his 3 friends help Job instead of giving advice. In making application we see that talk is cheap when a hand of help is needed. Yes, sin is sin and it is judged by God but our role is to restore the individual. If Job was truly suffering as a result of sin then his friends should of restored him first and preached to him later. How about you? Do you offer a hand first before you explain how they arrived in their position? Let us learn from our text today and the dialog of Job and His friends to remember that talk is cheap when a hand of help is needed.

Can the Wicked Prosper?
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 21. In our text today we see Job replying to the comments of Zophar explaining that in this world the wicked can prosper. In making application we see the same principle today. Some wicked people will prosper here on this earth but that prosperity will end here on earth while those things we do for Christ will last for eternity. I think we all have seen others cheat or be dishonest in business and seem to get ahead but that advantage only lasts a little while what we do for Christ will last forever. How about you ? Are you tempted to follow the world when it appears that they are getting ahead? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember that even though the wicked may prosper on the earth only things we do for Christ will last throughout eternity.

Judging a Book by its Cover
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 20. In our text today we see the continuing dialog between Job and his friends as Zophar addresses Job again and fails to listen to Job. In this speech Zophar comes to a conclusion of Judging Job by the afflictions he is suffering. In making application we see an example of judging a book by its cover. On the outside it seems that Job is a wicked man but on the inside he is a righteous man. Today we still judge a book by its cover as we Minster. The homeless, afflicted, and down and out are judged by us before we even listen to them or share the gospel with them. I have worked with the poor and homeless and found them to be just as everyone else. They just need Jesus and when they do I have seen God use them in an incredible way. How about you? Do you tend to judge others on their outer appearance? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember to not Judge a book by its cover but rather understand everyone needs Jesus.

Our Trials Reveal what We Truly Believe

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 19. In our text today we see Job again replying to his friends and see and example of the wrong way to treat others in need as well as how to respond when we go through the trials of life. In making application what catches my eye is Job's comment of how His redeemer liveth. When we come to the end of ourselves we face the true test of our faith and what we truly belive. No one wants trials but in trials we see who we really are. Many have died so you can read a Bible. They were tested and died for their faith because they truly belived in our Lord. How about you? Is you faith just lip-service or do you really belive what you claim? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember that our trials reveal what we truly believe.

Power over Death
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 18. In our text today we see Bildad speaks again and like the first time he is harsh and nonsporting of Job's affliction. He did not believe Job's response and continued to be a miserable comforter. What catches my eye is verse 14 where Bibdad viewed death as the great devourer. The Bible teaches that God has power over death, Hell, and the grave. Jesus paid it all and in our salvation we can rest assured that we too that we will not see separation from God but rather go from this life to our new home in heaven when we pass if we are saved. How about you? Are you scared about death? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember that Jesus has power over death if we are in Him (saved) we too will have eternal life.

Discouragement
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 17. In our text today we see Job continuing to speak to his friends and in discouragement takes his eyes off the Lord and starts thinking about giving up. Little does Job know that God is about to restore Him. In making application we see a pattern for discouragement which is taking your eyes off the Lord. The Lord is not limited by our circumstances and has a plan for your life. How about you? Do you get discouraged? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember not quit or get discouraged but rather keep our eyes of Jesus who will deliver us according to His Will and Plan for our Lives.

A Miserable Comforter

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 16. In our text today we see Job replying to the words of his friends calling them "miserable comforters" as they offered no comfort in their words as they didn't even listen to Job but rather gave their opinion on what they felt Job had done to cause such pain in his life. In making application we see that we too can be miserable comforters to our brothers and sisters in need by not listening to their words, encouraging them, having compassion, and placing ourselves in their situation. The most important thing in my life in times of need is simply having someone be there and praying for me. How about you? Are you a miserable comforter to those we face in need. Let us learn from our text today and the poor example of Job's friends to insure that we encourage others in their time of need and not be a miserable comforter.

Restoring those in Need
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 15. In our text today we see the Second round of discussions between Job and his friends as Eliphaz speaks again and is even more harsh and prideful in his speech. True Godliness would have had compassion as he listened to the evidence of Job in his afflictions. In making application we an example of having the knowledge of the law but not the application of the love of God. Today many believers do the same as they walk past the sinner in judgement with our reaching them with the love and compassion of Christ. Our goal should always be restoration to the sinner no matter what condition they are in. It reminds me of when we visit the homeless on the streets and give them something to eat. As we talk we find some are there as a result of their sin while others tell of circumstances that rival Job's life. Regardless of how they got there as Christians we should reach them with the love of Christ. How about you? How do you treat those who are down and out? Are you like Eliphaz and say "they deserve it" or do you have the heart of Christ that offers restoration? Let us learn from our text today and the example before us in Job to remember have compassion to restore those in need.

Life's Trials

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 14. In our text today we see Job continuing to address his friends with a truth that life is brief and comes with troubles and these troubles drive you can drive you closer to God. In making application we see that our troubles and trials can do as Job driving us closer to God or like Job's wife, further from God. How about you? How do you react to the trials that will come your way? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember that we all have trails and the correct responce is to get closer to God.

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 13. In our text today we see Job comparing his 3 friends to a surgeon who did not know what he was doing. There was truth spoken but wrong assumptions were made along with wrong applications. In making a personal application we see that we are to apply the word of God while rightly dividing the Word of Truth. We must take Scripture in their context to make application. How about you? Do know the Bible and if you do can you make accurate application of the Scriptures? Let us learn from our text today and the expression of Job to his friends to remember to rightly divide the Word of Truth to Apply to our Lives.

All Knowledge Comes From Our Lord

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 12. In our text today we see Job replying to Zophar's comments and raising the point that all wisdom comes from the Lord. Every Scientific discovery, medical advancement, breakthrough invention, etc... comes from the Lord. In making application it makes me think of what we are missing through our sin. Not the God is holding things from us but rather the separation that comes from sin which keeps us from tapping into the riches of knowledge that is in Christ-Jesus. How about you? Do you ever wonder what you are missing from the separation that comes from your sin? Let us learn from our text today and the wisdom that Job shares to remember that all knowledge comes from our Lord and to avoid sin to enjoy the Lord's best for our lives.

God Knows

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 11. In our text today we see Zophar, Job's third friend, speak and do as the others, wrongly accusing Job of hidden sin. Although his accusation was wrong the principle is correct. We cannot hide our sin from God. In making application we see this principle stands true today. We cannot hide our sin from God as He knows even the hairs on your head. How about you? Do you know that God knows every sin you commit? Let us learn from our text today and the reminder in our test today that God know all about our sin.

In His Timing

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 10. In our text today we see Job continuing to speak to God. In his situation Job comes to a conclusion that God is out to get him because of his circumstances. In making application we see that we are warned of drawing conclusions by judging our circumstances. Our ways are not God's ways so we need to be cautious of drawing conclusions before God shows us His plan for our lives. How about you? Do you draw conclusions before the Lord can reveal His total plan to you? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to be careful to not draw conclusions on what God is doing but have faith, trust Him, and let God reveal His plan for our lives in His timing.

Cling to the Lord

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 9. In our text today we see Job speaking again in response to his friends comments. In battling affliction our flesh follows a pattern of: feeling sorry for ourselves, to self-pity, to blaming God for our affliction. In making application we see a pattern for destruction. It is in these times of weakness when we are in our flesh we act on our self pity choosing to lash out at God in rebellion instead of asking the Lord why we are going through this valley. It is at these times we should cling closer to the Lord verses pushing Him away. How about you? Do difficult times push you further away from God or do you follow the example of Job to cling to Lord when facing difficult times.

Security

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Job with Chapter 8. In our text today we see Bildad wrongly assumed that Job was trusting in something other than God for security. In making application we see that many place their need to be secure in things other than our Lord. Money, Possessions, Relationships, Knowledge, are just a few items that we place our trust but only trusting in the Lord will last and fulfill our need to be secure. How about you? In what do you place your trust? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Job to remember that only placing our trust in the Lord will last and fufill this need in our lives.

Our vision and mission is to distribute His Word in these last of the last days. Our Mission is to reach the 1/2 of the World who has never seen a Bible and the 75% of the World who does not own a Bible. Our Method is to simply depend on the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as we inform the Body of Christ of the World Wide Bible Shortage. As the Holy Spirit burdens believers we will print, purchase, and recycle older Bibles, then network with Ministries and Missionaries to place Bibles in the hands of needy souls.  A special thanks to our Friends at the Spread the Word Bible College & Seminary for the Honorary Doctors of Divinity Degree. It a great honor to be associated with your University. Please contact me with any need, question, or concerns. My Personal email is info@bibles4free.com
