Facing EvilEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 69. In our text today
we see a theme of how we may suffer for our devotion to God. In making application we see that the Lord is total control,
He hears our prayer, and will deliver justice according to His Will and Purpose. Today we still face evil as this world gets
more ungodly. The same God of our text is the same God of today and His Word says that He is Just and delivers His Justice.
How about you? Do you face persecution for your faith? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that our God
is Just and delivers His Justice to all men.
Thank You, David

Our God is FaithfulEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 68. In our text today we see a theme of
remembering God's Glory and Power of a God who never changes. In making application we see that in remembering what God has
done in the past will encourage us in the present and future. We need not worry about God's provisions or protection. This
truth should cause us to walk boldly by faith to face the challenges of today and tomorrow. How about you? Do you remember
how God has been faithful to you in the past so you will have faith to face the future? Let us learn from our text today to
remember to remember the past of how faithful God is to us so that we can face the challenges of today.

Our JoyEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 67. In our text today we see a theme of
the Joy that comes from spreading the Word of God around the World. In making application we see that our Joy too comes from
spreading the Gospel. When our spirit bears witness to the Spirit of God in us then we experience the Joy the Psalmist speaks
of in this text. How about you? Are you lacking the Joy of the Lord in your life? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today
to remember that our Joy comes from bearing witness to the Spirit of God in us which causes us to share our faith with others.

Our PrayersEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 66. In our text today
we see a theme of God answering our prayers should bring about praise or worship to our heart. What catches my eye is verse
18 that states the Lord will not hear our prayers if we hold immorality in our hearts. In making application we see the need
to keep our hearts clean before the Lord though our confession and repentance to have our prayers heard. Today in a world
of sin the standard of a clean heart has been moved so much that a believer that is not in the Word will hold iniquity in
their hearts and thus, will not have their prayers heard. The key to answered prayer is a life feeding on the Bible, spent
on our knees, confessing and repenting of our sin before the Lord. How about you? Are your prayers being heard? Let us learn
from our Psalm and text today to remember that a unclean heart before the Lord will keep Him from Hearing our Prayers.

Our Lord Provides
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to
help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with
Chapter 65. In our text today we see a theme of how God provides abundantly. He is faithful. In making application we see
that we can be thankful to God for his many blessings. Today we tend to be spoiled at the blessings of God. Many times we
look at what we don't have or what we want instead of having a thankful heart on what God has blessed us with. The truth is
that God is so faithful in meeting our needs just as David testifies in this text. How about you? Do you have a thankful heart
acknowledging the blessings of our Lord? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today remember that our Lord is faithful to
provide our needs.

Our ProtectionEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 64. In our text today
we see a theme of David's complaint against conspiracy. In making application we see that when others conspire against us
we can ask God for protection because he knows everything. Today we can ask for that same protection as we face our struggles
and enemies. Just as David learned - we need to understand that the Lord knows all and we can trust Him to protect us from
our enemies. How about you? Do you feel intimidated by your enemies? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember
that the Lord is our Protection from our enemies.

Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 63. In our text today
we see a theme of a desire for God's presence, provision, and protection. This desire comes from a thirst to know and see
God. In making application we see a need to catch David's thirst for knowing God. A thirst for God that comes from a focus
on God. This focus and devotion fills our hearts with His Love and His Spirit which equips us to live in this dry and thirsty
land. How about you? Do you thirst for God? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that the key to satisfied
Christian life is thirst for God that comes from a devotion and focus on the Lord.

Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 62. In our text today
we see a theme of placing our hope in God. Knowing He is our hope and salvation in the foundation of who we are and upon how
we make decisions and feel secure. In making application we see the the key to our Christian lives is Jesus being our rock
and salvation. If we are saved and resting in Him we will be able to face anything in our lives. How about you? Are you able
to face anything in your lives because your foundation is in Jesus? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember

Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 61. In our text today
we see a theme of a Prayer for Security and Assurance as David acknowledges the Lord as a Shelter and a Strong Tower as he
escapes from Absalom's Rebellion. In making application we see that wherever we are, we can trust that the Lord will be there
to answer our cries for help. Today many face the same challenges and even persecution for their faith like David. The same
Lord that helped David can help us too no matter what we face in these last days. How about you? Do you face challenges from
others? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that our Lord is our Strong Tower and Security in time of need.

The Hand of God Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book
of Psalm with Chapter 60. In our text today we see a theme of how our real help comes from God, and God alone. In making application
we see that when situations seem to be out of control, we can trust God to do mighty things. It is in these times we come
to the understanding that it is not us or our efforts, as much as, the hand of God that moves our enemies in time of need.
How about you? Do you worry when things do not go your way? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that is
ultimately the Hand of God that is in control of when our circumstances seem to be out of control.

Feeling SafeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 59. In our text today
we see a theme of Praying and Praising God for His Saving Help. We see our place of safety in a wicked world is God's constant
Love. In making application we see our world is increasing in its' wickedness. Just watching the evening news makes one feel
fearful as we see a world far from God. The key for feeling safe is a life of Prayer and Praising God for His Saving Help.
Understanding our Lord is in control brings peace to our lives. How about you? Do you feel safe in an unsafe world? Let us
learn from our Psalm and text today as David gives us the key to feeling safe in an unsafe world is our Prayer and Praise to all powerful

His JusticeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter
by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text.
Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 58. In our text today we see a theme of praying for God's Justice. When
no justice can be found we can rejoice in knowing that justice will triumph because there is a God who will judge with complete
fairness. In making application we see that we can depend on the Lord as we are not in control but the Lord is in control.
When others seem to be getting away with wrong we know that the Lord sees all and judges according to His Will. Knowing this
truth we can pray and give our burden to the Lord. It is not our job to execute justice on those who wrong us. How about you?
Do you struggle when others escape the world's judgement? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to not worry when others
seem to get away with wrongs, remembering that our Lord sees all, and judges bringing His Justice to all men in His perfect

Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 57. In our text today
we see a theme of how God is faithful in our in our times of trouble. In making application we see the difference in the Christian
faith and all other religions - A real relationship with God. Our Lord hears and responds to our prayers, answering according
to His Will, and in the process allows us to grow in and through Him. All the while instructing us in His Word. Amazing. How
about you? Are you a Christian? If so, do you realize the relationship you have with God? Let us learn from our Psalm and

Facing Your FearsEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 56. In our text today
we see a theme of trusting in God when in the midst of fear. In making application we see the truth : if God is for us, then
those against us will never succeed. I love verse 3 that says - What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. This verse shows
us that we can face our fears as we place our trust in the Lord. Today we face many fears and uncertainties but we simply
need to trust the Lord who tells us that He will never leaves us or forsake us. How about you? Are you facing a fear or fearful
moment in your life? Let us learn from our Psalm and Text today to remember that the key to passing through our fears is to
place our faith in the Lord.

David's expression of pain when being hurt and how the words of the Lord bring comfort. In making application we see that
we have a true friend in Jesus. When others let us down we can go to the Lord in prayer and express our pain and in return
the Lord will speak to us with His Words giving us comfort and peace. It is so comforting to know that not only can we call
upon the Lord in our time of need but also that He listens, works in in our lives, and gives us words of comfort from the
Bible. How about you? Are you going through a tough time? Let us learn from our Psalm and Text today to remember that we can

we see a theme of a call for God to overcome our enemies. In making application we see that God is our helper, even in times
of hurt and betrayal. He is the one we can call upon in our time of need. Today in this world of sin and apathy it seems to
be dog eat dog as few have morals or values. This spreads the hurt and betrayal to so many making this text so applicable
for today. How about you? Have you been hurt by others? Let us remember our Psalm and text today to be encouraged and remember

Our SinEach day we walk

how we are all sinners and because of sin, no person can save himself. Only God can save us. In making application we see
how we are all unclean and in need for a Savior. This is why Jesus paid the price on the Cross at Calvary. His shed blood
paid the price for us to be cleansed before a holy God. Our best works are not able to attain the favor of God. How about

how God will judge the evildoer. In making application we see that we must not let our anger to block our confidence in God's
ability to defeat evil. Faith in God allows us to look past our circumstances and those who would want to do evil to us. We
know God is just and keeping our focus on Him will allow us to walk in victory. How about you? Do you allow you anger or emotions

A Clean HeartEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 51. In our text today
we see a theme of David's plea for mercy forgiveness, and a clean Heart. David realizes that God wants our hearts right with
him. In making application we see that our hearts can drift from the Lord. Even after we are saved we must strive to keep
our hearts and lives clean and free from sin. The world, our flesh, and the enemy are constantly trying to sway our heart.
It is daily cleansing through His Word, listening to His Spirit, along with our prayer and repentance that creates a clean
heart within the child of God. How about you? Is your heart clean before the Lord? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today

A True FaithEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 50. In our text today we see a theme of
the contrast between true and false faith. God desires sincere thanks, trust, and praise. In making application we see that
our faith is a 100% trust in a God we don't always working in our lives. Many times God is working behind the scenes and we
need to simply trust and obey what the Lord instructs us to do. Many today have a false faith and only claim to follow the
Lord if it benefits them. They are not saved, have not surrendered their lives, and do not know Jesus as Lord. They just want
to claim the title to gain favor with man. How about you? Do you have faith in Jesus because He is your Lord? Are you a true
Christian? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that there is a true and false faith, the Lord knows, so

Investing in HeavenEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 49. In our text today we see a theme of
how trusting in worldly possessions is futile. You cannot take your possessions with you when you die, nor can you use your
possessions to buy forgiveness from sin. In making application we see how investing our time and resources for temporal things
on this earth will not profit us anything. I once heard a preacher say that you never see a Hurst pulling a u-haul trailer.
Instead of spending our days attempting to gain earthly wealth we should spend our time reaching souls with the gospel which
will pay an eternal reward. How about you? Do you spend your time reaching earthly goals or do you spend your time investing
in the Kingdom of our Lord? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember that we will leave our worldly possessions

Our All in AllEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 48. In our text today we see a theme of
how God is our joy, security , defender, guide, and salvation. In making application we see how our Lord is our all in all.
Every good thing is in Him and not of ourselves. The world tells you just the opposite, believe in yourself, you can do it,
try harder, the power is in you. For those who follow this philosophy find themselves empty, unfulfilled, and never satisfied.
How about you? Are you full of joy? Who's philosophy are you following - the Lord or the World? Let us learn from our Psalm
and Text today to remember that the World leaves us empty, our all and all is in the Lord and if we follow Him we will have

Jesus is LordEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord.
Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 47. In our text today
we see a theme of God being the King of the World and one day all nations will recognize His Lordship. We see a prelude to
this now as every religion has to attempt to redefine the Bible which states that Jesus is Lord. Other religions say Jesus
is a good man, a prophet, a wise teacher, having to explain him away because He cannot be ignored. One day every knee will
bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. In making application we see that since we will one day claim Jesus as Lord - why
would we not receive Him and live for Him today. If we are honest with ourselves we will admit that Jesus is Lord, and if
we do, why would we not receive Him as Lord and Savior today. How about you? Do you see Jesus as Lord? If so, have you received
Him as your personal Lord and Savior willing to live and serve Him.

His BrideEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 45. In our text today we see a theme of
a poem that was written to a king on the occasion of his wedding. Many see this Psalm as a prophecy about Christ and His Bride,
the Church, who will soon be reunited for eternity. In making application we see that those who are saved are part of His
Bride, the Church. As the bride we should be preparing ourselves for the wedding feast. Adorning ourselves and being ready
when Jesus comes to receive us. This should motivate us to busy about the King's business, busy reaching others with the Gospel
so that others can become part of His Church. How about you? Are you busy about the King's business? Do you share your faith
with others? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to be reminded to reach others with the Gospel so the Church will

Today's
Scripture: Psalm
45 |
1My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I
have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. 2Thou art fairer than the children of men:
grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. 3Gird thy sword upon thy thigh,
O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. 4And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and
meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. 5Thine arrows
are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. 6Thy throne,
O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. 7Thou lovest righteousness,
and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 8All
thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. 9Kings'
daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. 10Hearken,
O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; 11So
shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. 12And the
daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour. 13The
king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold. 14She shall be brought unto the
king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. 15With
gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. 16Instead
of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. 17I will
make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever. |
Today's
Scripture Meaning: |
his psalm is a prophecy of Messiah
the Prince, and points to him as a Bridegroom espousing the church to himself, and as a King ruling in it, and for it. Verses 1-5: The psalmist's tongue was guided by the Spirit of God, as the pen
is by the hand of a ready writer. This psalm is touching the King Jesus, his kingdom and government. It is a shame that this
good matter is not more the subject of our discourse. There is more in Christ to engage our love, than there is or can be
in any creature. This world and its charms are ready to draw away our hearts from Christ; therefore we are concerned to understand
how much more worthy he is of our love. By his word, his promise, his gospel, the good will of God is made known to us, and
the good work of God is begun and carried on in us. The psalmist, ver. (3-5), joyfully
foretells the progress and success of the Messiah. The arrows of conviction are very terrible in the hearts of sinners, till
they are humbled and reconciled; but the arrows of vengeance will be more so to his enemies who refuse to submit. All who
have seen his glory and tasted his grace, rejoice to see him, by his word and Spirit, bring enemies and strangers under his
dominion. Verses 6-9: The throne of this almighty King is established for
ever. While the Holy Spirit leads Christ's people to look to his cross, he teaches them to see the evil of sin and the beauty
of holiness; so that none of them can feel encouragement to continue in sin. The Mediator is God, else he had been neither
able to do the Mediator's work, nor fit to wear the Mediator's crown. God the Father, as his God in respect to his human nature
and mediatorial offices, has given to him the Holy Spirit without measure. Thus anointed to be a Prophet, Priest, and King,
Christ has pre-eminence in the gladdening gifts and graces of the spirit, and from his fulness communicates them to his brethren
in human nature. The Spirit is called the oil of gladness, because of the delight wherewith Christ was filled, in carrying
on his undertakings. The salvation of sinners is the joy of angels, much more of the Son. And in proportion as we are conformed
to his holy image, we may expect the gladdening gifts influences of the Comforter. The excellences of the Messiah, the suitableness
of his offices, and the sufficiency of his grace, seem to be intended by the fragrance of his garments. The church formed
of true believers, is here compared to the queen, whom, by an everlasting covenant, the Lord Jesus has betrothed to himself.
This is the bride, the Lamb's wife, whose graces are compared to fine linen, for their purity; to gold, for their costliness:
for as we owe our redemption, so we owe our adorning, to the precious blood of the Son of God. Verses
10-17: If we desire to share these blessings, we must hearken to Christ's word. We must forget our carnal
and sinful attachments and pursuits. He must be our Lord as well as our Saviour; all idols must be thrown away, that we may
give him our whole heart. And here is good encouragement, thus to break off from former alliances. The beauty of holiness,
both on the church and on particular believers, is, in the sight of Christ, of great price, and very amiable. The work of
grace is the workmanship of the Spirit, it is the image of Christ upon the soul, a partaking of the Divine nature. It is clear
of all sin, there is none in it, nor any comes from it. There is nothing glorious in the old man or corrupt nature; but in
the new man, or work of grace upon the soul, every thing is glorious. The robe of Christ's righteousness, which he has wrought
out for his church, the Father imputes unto her, and bestows upon her. None are brought to Christ, but those whom the Father
brings. This notes the conversion of souls to him. The robe of righteousness, and garments of salvation, the change of raiment
Christ has put upon her. Such as strictly cleave to Christ, loving him in singleness of heart, are companions of the bride,
who partake of the very same grace, enjoy the same privileges, and share in one common salvation. These, every one, shall
be brought to the King; not one lost or left behind. Instead of the Old Testament church, there shall be a New Testament church,
a Gentile church. In the believing hope of our everlasting happiness in the other world, let us always keep up the remembrance
of Christ, as our only way thither; and transmit the remembrance of him to succeeding generations, that his name may endure
for ever |
Today's Scripture Application: |
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application
of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book
of Psalm with Chapter 45. In our text today we see a theme of a poem that was written to a king on the occasion of his wedding.
Many see this Psalm as a prophecy about Christ and His Bride, the Church, who will soon be reunited for eternity. In making
application we see that those who are saved are part of His Bride, the Church. As the bride we should be preparing ourselves
for the wedding feast. Adorning ourselves and being ready when Jesus comes to receive us. This should motivate us to busy
about the King's business, busy reaching others with the Gospel so that others can become part of His Church. How about you?
Are you busy about the King's business? Do you share your faith with others? Let us learn from our Psalm and text today to
be reminded to reach others with the Gospel so the Church will be adorned and ready when Jesus comes for His Bride, the Church.

15With

of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. 17I will
make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever. |

Remember the PastEach day we walk
through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can
be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Psalm with Chapter 44. In our text today we see a theme of
deliverance for those who are weary in the battle. We are reminded of how God has delivered us in the past as an encouragement
to continue in the present. In making application we can know who God is. We have His Word, the Bible, to remind us of His
Character, and how God delivers His Children. We have our testimonies of deliverance so we can walk in His truth even when
we are in the battle facing the enemy. How about you? Do you remember who God is when we face the enemy in the battle? Let
us learn from our Psalm and text today to remember to have faith when we face the enemy because we know God will deliver us
by His Word and our testimony.

Our vision and mission is to distribute His Word in these last of the last days. Our Mission
is to reach the 1/2 of the World who has never seen a Bible and the 75% of the World who does not own a Bible. Our Method
is to simply depend on the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as we inform the Body of Christ of the World Wide Bible
Shortage. As the Holy Spirit burdens believers we will print, purchase, and recycle older Bibles, then network with Ministries
and Missionaries to place Bibles in the hands of needy souls. A special thanks to our Friends at the Spread the Word
