Can we Bargain with God?Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 34. In our text today we see God's promised judgment arrives
and Zedekiah tries to appease God by doing a kind act but failed to truly repent. In making application
we see that repentance is needed to make peace with God. The Bible says that our good works are not able to
pay for our sins. It is only the blood of Jesus that can pay for a persons sin debt. How about you? Do you see how we
cannot bargain with God? Let us learn from out text today and see that our good works will not save us but rather we need
to born again to be saved and have our sins forgiven? Thank You, David

He Still Loves Youach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 29. In our text today we see God's people in captivity due to their disobedience
and sin. Even though they rejected the Lord and suffered the consequences of their actions the Lord never forgot them. In
making application we see that the Lord never stops loving you or thinking of you. Yes, our sin separates us from God and
lost people do die and go to a Godless Hell but that is not the will of our Lord. It is not His Will that any would perish
but that all would come to repentance. How about you? Do you know that the Lord loves you? Let us learn from
out text today and the life of Jeremiah to see that no matter how we have rejected the Lord in the past that He still loves
us and wants us all to be saved. Thank You, David Burnette,

Keep Your Eyes on the PrizeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 25. In our text today we see Jeremiah prophesies
captivity as the cup of God's wrath is poured out. What catches my eye is that Jeremiah preached the same message for
23 years to be constantly rejected. In making application we see that we should serve God and His calling for our lives and
not react to the rejection of man. It is easy to get discouraged in our service but the key is to keep our eyes on the prize,
Jesus-Christ. How about you? Do you get discouraged serving the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the faithfulness
of Jeremiah as he preached for 23 years facing rejection but learned to keep His eyes on the Lord who is the Author and Finisher
of our Faith. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please

Good Figs Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 24. In our text today we see Jeremiah's vision of figs as some were
some were classified as bad figs while others were classified as good figs, not from being good but from their hearts
responding to God. In making application we see that we an illustration of how we don't go to Heaven for being good but from
our hearts responding to the Gospel. Today many think they will go to Heaven if their good works outweigh their bad but the
truth of the Gospel is no one is truly good. We are all sinners but if we confess our sins and receive the free pardon of
sin that Jesus paid on the cross of Calvary then we too can be saved. How about you? Have you responded to the Gospel? Let
us learn from our text today and the example of Jeremiah to see that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and
not of good works. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please

A Fox in the HenhouseEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 23. In our text today we see a warning against false prophets and
those who scatter the flock. In making application we see we that the enemy will place those in the house of God who
will mislead and try to scatter the flock. Just like a fox in the henhouse we need to be aware of this tactic and
know our Bibles so we will not be mislead by false doctrine ad teachings. How about you? Do you know your Bible
enough to recognize false prophets among us? Let us learn from our text today to realize that we must read and study
our Bibles to recognize that the enemy will place false prophets in the Church so we will realize when there is
a fox in the henhouse. Thank You, David Burnette,

Are you Obedient? Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 22. In our text today we see God giving the blueprint for rebuilding
a nation - turn from evil and do right. In making application we see that doing right is simply more than believing about
God, it is living obediently to God. Today many claim to be Christians but few believe unto obedience. How about you? Do you
obey God? Let us learn from our text today and words of Jeremiah to see true faith and belief will produce obedience unto
the Lord in our Lives. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please

When we FailEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 21. In our text today we see judgment come upon Jerusalem because
of her disobedience as a people but even in judgment God did not wipe out Jerusalem. Yes, they suffered greatly for their
actions but God was not done with Jerusalem. In making application we see that when we fail and suffer rebuke and judgment
by disobeying our Lord but God we will suffer the consequences of our sin but our loving Heavenly Father is not
done with us yet. He has a plan and a work for us to do. How about you? Do you understand God can use even
when you fail? Let us learn from our text today and example of Jerusalem to see that even when we fail our Heavenly
Father never stops loving us and is willing to use us to do His work if we will simply repent. Thank

Rejecting God's WordEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 20. In our text today we see Jeremiah is put in stocks when he preaches
the Word to Pashur the Governor of Judah. Pashur choose to reject God's Word, remove the Preacher, and as a result destruction
came to Pashur. In making application we see that we can reject God's Word, reject God's messenger, but we will not escape
the consequences of our actions. How about you? Do you reject God's Word? Let us learn from today's text and the example of
Pashur who rejected God's Word, rejected God's messenger, to have the consequences of judgment come to Him. Thank

Breaking the VesselEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 19. In our text today we see God Breaking the Vessel of Jerusalem
as it fails to follow after its maker and the Lord gives them over to their own choices. In making application we see
we too will reap what we sow if we follow our own direction verses the Lord's Direction outlined for us in the Pages of the
Bible. When we choose to walk independent of our Makers direction we find ourselves reaping what we sow. How about you? Do
you see how we reap what we sow? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Jerusalem to see that if we make
decisions independent of the Potters instruction we will end destroying the Vessel that the Potter made for His Honor
and Glory. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please

The Potter and the ClayEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 18. In our text today we see the Lord showing us the parable of
the Potter and the Clay. In making application we see the picture of how the Lord makes us and molds us into vessels for
his good use. Today we see that we need to submissive to the Lord as He works in our lives. How about you? Do you see
yourself as clay in the Masters hand? Let us learn from our text today and the picture the Lord paints for us of the
Potter and the Clay and how He mold us and makes us into vessels of honor for His good works. Thank

Our Strength, Fortress, and RefugeEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 16. In our text today we see a prophesy and Jeremiah approaching
God in prayer with 3 descriptive names: Strength, Fortress, and Refuge. Each name gives a view of how Jeremiah experienced
God's presence. In making application we see that we can let God be out strength when we are weak, your fortress when
your enemies come against you, and your refuge when you need to retreat from the pressures of life. How about you? Do
you look to the Lord for your daily needs? Let us learn from our text today and the Prayer of Jeremiah to look to the Lord
and Pray to Him in our time of need as He is our Strength, Fortress, and Refuge. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please Contact Me with Any Questions or Comments,

Why do Bad Things Happen? Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 15. In our text today we see that Jerusalem is persecuted
after its failure to repent. In making application we see some here saying why do bad things happen to good people and the
truth is they were not good but unrepentant sinners. Today people say the same, why do bad things happen to good or innocent
people but the truth is no one is good, because of sin we are all sinners and the price of that sin is death. But God in His
grace and mercy provided a way for sinful man to have His sins forgiven. How about you? Are you saved and are your sins forgiven?
Let us learn from out text today and account of Jeremiah to see that even if we think we are good - the truth is we are sinners
in need of a savior, and that savior is Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank You, David

RepentanceEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 14. In our text today we see God pronounces judgment on
Judah with a drought to have the people cry out to God in prayer for deliverance to have God ignore their prayer because they
failed to repent. In making application we see that repentance is Key to have God hear from you. Today many call out to the
Lord, lacking repentance (or a turn) from sin, to have the Lord not acknowledge their prayer. How about you? Do you repent
before and as you pray? Let us learn from our text today and the example hear in Jeremiah to remember that repentance is key
to have your prayers heard and answered by a Holy God. Thank You, David Burnette,

PrideEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter
making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we
continue in the Book of Jeremiah 13. In our text today we see the people of the Lord are threatened
with captivity as they allow their pride to control their lives which takes them to a path of destruction. In making
application we see that pride is a form of self worship where we elevate ourselves above God and others. Today our
worlds system teaches pride from the day we are born with "believe in yourself" Which advances to "self
help" and achievement based self worth which leads a person to an empty, unfulfilled life. How about you? Have you
let pride rule in your life? Let us learn from our text today and the warning of Jeremiah that Pride always comes before a
fall. Thank You, David Burnette, Director:U.S.Bible Society Please

Why do the Wicked Prosper? Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 12. In our text today we see Jeremiah complains to
God for the wicked prospering while God answers him with the response of Him judging them in His timing. In making application
we see the same scenario as some wicked around us do seem to prosper but make no mistake they will face the Lord and His Judgment
in His perfect timing. Today we can be as Jeremiah and focus on the wicked instead of focusing on the Lord as He fights our
battles and dispenses His Justice on His Timetable. How about you? Do you get discouraged in seeing the wicked prosper? Let
us learn from our text today to see that our focus is to be on the Lord and not the temporary prosperity of the wicked as
the Lord dispenses His Justice on His timetable. Thank You, David Burnette,

HistoryEach day we walk through the Bible chapter by
chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's
text. Today we continue in the Book of Jeremiah 11. In our text today we see God telling Jeremiah to remind
the people of the History and specifically what God has done as a result of their obedience of disobedience. In making application
we see how we too should learn from the History of Israel and the History given to us in the completed revelation of
God in His Word, the Bible. Today we can learn from our own History as well seeing how God extends grace and love to
us as well as disciplining us. How about you? Do you learn from History? Let us learn from our text today and the History
of God's people in the Bible as well as the History in our lives to learn how God reacts to our obedience or disobedience. Thank

is to simply depend on the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as we inform the Body of Christ of the World Wide Bible
Shortage. As the Holy Spirit burdens believers we will print, purchase, and recycle older Bibles, then network with Ministries
and Missionaries to place Bibles in the hands of needy souls. A special thanks to our Friends at the Spread the Word
