Answers in the Bible
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 8. In our text today we see Amos bringing the Word of God but the people had no appetite for it because of their apathy. In making application we see that we have the Word of God in our hands today, the Bible, yet we look for answers everywhere else except in its pages which contain all the answers to our lives. How about you? Do you see the Word of God for the answers in your life. Let us learn from our text today and the direction of Amos to see that the Bible holds all the answers to the questions we have in how to live our lives.

Obey Your Calling
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 7. In our text today we see the visions of judgement the Lord gave Amos. What catches my eye is how Amos obeyed God's call to prophesy unto the people of Israel even though he did not have the education or training to accomplish the task, he simply obeyed the Lord. In making application we see a call to obedience. By Faith we are do what the Lord instructs us in His Power through the Holy Spirit. How about you? Do you allow your feeling of inadequacy keep you from obeying the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and life of Amos who followed the Lord even when he felt inadequate simply because he followed his calling by simple obedience.

Provisions or Possessions
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 6. In our text today we see how God despises Israel's pride as the people competed in extravagance while they continued to suppress the poor. In making application we see how the Lord hates a proud look as it is self worship. The Lord provides all of our needs and there is nothing wrong with providing for our families but when our provisions become possessions or idols the Lord will judge. How about you? Are your provisions from the Lord a possession of pride? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Israel to see how their pride of their possessions at the expense of others brought them the judgement of the Lord.

Extend the Hand of Christ
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 5. In our text today we see Amos morns for Israel as they believed their wealth and religion made them secure while suppressing and victimizing the poor. In making application we see that many today follow in the same path of preaching prosperity while ignoring and suppressing the poor. Today our focus should be on Ministry or Service to restore the poor, needy, and sin sick showing them the way to a better life is Jesus-Christ. How about you? Do you Restore the needy or are you too busy to help others who find themselves in sins pit? Let us learn from our text today and the warning of Amos to extend the hand of Christ who find themselves in a pit due to their sin.

Are you Listening?
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 4. In our text today we see how the people refuse to turn to God because their hearts were wicked. No matter how God warned the people they refused to repent because they would not listen to God. In making application we see that the Lord is speaking but we fail to listen. How about you? Do you listen to the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Israel to see that the Lord is speaking to us through His word so we need to listen to receive His instruction, blessing, and favor.

Sin Separates
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 3. In our text today we see reasons for judgement as Sin separates people from God. In making application we see why Jesus had to come and why we must be saved. Because sin separates an unholy man from a holy God. How about you? Do you see your need for a Savior? Let us learn from our text today and Word of the Lord to see that sins separates man from God and the reason we must be Saved.

Ungodly Influences
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the book of Amos with Chapter 2. In our text today we see the Moabites influencing Israel to worship Baal even though they new God's Word concerning this issue. In making application we see the importance of not yoking or being influenced by the ungodly but to simply trust the Word of God. How about you? Do you see the how the ungodly try to influence the redeemed through their actions? Let us learn from our text today and the life Amos to see that the wicked will attempt to influence those who serve the Lord so let us hold fast to the Word of God so we will receive the blessings of God.

You and Me
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the book of Amos with Chapter 1. In our text today we see Amos who was a simple shepherd and fig grower who God chose to be a prophet from 760-750 BC. Here Amos announces judgement for Israel for their sin. What catches my eye is how God uses simple people of faith to do His Work. Today God still calls simple people of faith to do mighty things for the Lord. How about you? Are you serving the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Amos to see that the Lord uses ordinary people like you and me to do His Will, His Work, reaching  and ministering to others in the power of Jesus-Christ.

Being Saved
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Joel with Chapter 3. In our text today we see Joel proclaiming the day of the Lord being near. What catches my eye is is the phrase "in that time" refers to the time when those who call upon the Lord will be saved. In making application we see the time-less truth that those who call upon the Lord will be saved. How about you? Have you been saved? Let us learn from our text today and proclamation of Joel and many other men of God throughout the Bible who remind us that only those who call upon the nave of the Lord will be saved.

Time
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Joel with Chapter 2. In our text today we see Joel again warning of the approaching judgment of sinners emphasizing how time was running out. In making application we see that the Lord extends grace for repentance for a specific period of time. Just as we do not know the specific time of the second coming of the Lord we do not know if we will have more than one opportunity to respond to the Lord when convicted of our sin. All we know is that today is the day of repentance. How about you? Do you see that the we are not promised tomorrow. Let us learn from our text today and the warning from Joel to see that there is a time when we will no longer have the opportunity to repent reminding us that today is day of repentance.

Self Sufficiency
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 13 In our text today we see God expressing His anger against Israel. Here Israel placed its trust in its possessions verses the God that allowed them to produce them. In making application we see that a self-sufficient attitude is one of pride and will lead down a path of judgment. How about you? Do you have an attitude of self sufficiency? Let us learn from our text today to see the mistake of taking credit for the blessings from God with the attitude of sufficiency recognizing that all of our blessings come from the Lord.

Hate Sin while Loving the Sinner
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 12 In our text today we see God invites His people to return to him using the correct balance between Mercy and Judgment. In making application we see the balance Christians should have towards others with Mercy and Judgment. We should love the sinner while hating the sin being willing to reach out and Minister to all without compromising on sin and its destructive path. How about you? Do you live the sinner while hating the sin? Let us learn from our text today and the example of the relationship between the Lord and Israel to see the correct balance of Mercy and Judgment with the principle of hating sin and loving the sinner.

A Grateful Heart
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 11 In our text today we see God's love for Israel with a Fatherly love for a wayward child yet Israel was ungrateful and unthankful. In making application we see a common fault with sinful mankind, being unthankful. A simple disregard for those who show us favor or blessings. When we are ungrateful to the Lord we miss God's best for our lives. Like a spoiled child's parent our Lord would not give us blessings that we cannot manage. How about you? Are you missing God's best for your life from being ungrateful? Let us learn from our text today to see how God loves us and is willing to shower us with His Favor if we simply show the Lord that we acknowledge the gift and giver with a grateful heart.

Promises
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 10 In our text today we see Hosea predicts punishment as God was angry with Israel for their insincere promises to Him. In making application we see that we are to take our promises seriously. We are to let our yea be yea without making a vow or promise. Today, many borrow money, enter into contracts, marry, making promises to find themselves breaking them when they change their mind. Our Lord though keeps His promises and expects us to keep ours as testimony to Him. How about You? Are you keeping your promises? Let us learn from our text today and the example of the nation of Israel to see that Lord holds us to our Promises so we should live our lives so we should only enter into a contract only if we are certain we will follow through for the Lord expects us to keep our promises.

The Whirlwind
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 8 In our text today we see Israel reaping the whirlwind as they worship the creation instead of the Creator. In making application we see a picture of the world today as people worship the creation of the Lord and its riches instead of the one who Created it all. How about you? Is your focus on the Creator or what He Created? Let us learn from our text today and example from Israel to see that we need to Worship our Lord as the Creator verses the mistake of worshiping the objects that he has created.

Ignoring Conviction
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 7 In our text today we see Israel reaping the consequences of their sin with as Assyria conquest of people of God. Israel's repentance was too late to escape these unfortunate consequences. In making application we see that we too want to see how far we can go in our sin before we face our consequences. Unfortunately we too will face the path of Israel if we fail to repent when convicted by the holy spirit. How about you? Do you see how far you can go in your sin before judgment comes your way? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Israel to see that we should repent when the Holy Spirit convicts unless we too wait too long to see God's judgment in our lives.

Repentance
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 6 In our text today we see Israel's punishment as they agreed they were sinning but did not repent or turn from their sin thinking God would punish them for a little while and they would return to their sin following His punishment. In making application we see that true repentance is necessary for salvation and forgiveness of sin. How about you? Have you repented or totally turned from your sin? Let us learn from our text today and the nation of Israel to see that it takes more than just agreeing that you are a sinner, it takes repentance of your sin and faith in the finished work of Calvary to receive the free pardon of sin that only Jesus-Christ can provide for you.

A Hard Heart
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 5 In our text today we see God's judgment against Israel held each person responsible for their actions. Here the persistent sin of the people seared their conscience and led to their hard hearts. In making application we see that our persistent sin will sear our conscience leading to a hard heart that is far from repentance. How about you? Do you see your persistent sin leads to a hard heart? Let us learn from our text today to see that must repent of our sin when the Lord convicts us unless we too sear our conscience which will lead to unrepentant hard heart.

Self-Righteous
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 4 In our text today we see Israel's sinfulness as God rebukes them, the religious leaders, and sin in the house of God. The sinful nation was quick to point out the sin in Hosea's life but was not as quick to see the sin in their own. In making application it is easy to judge others while overlooking the sin in our lives. Today many are quick to judge to give them a sense of self-righteousness which makes them feel better about their sin. The truth is God is the judge and judges on sin on His standard of holiness. How about you? Do you judge your sin on how bad other live? Let us learn from our text today and the truth that God judges your sin on His standard of Holiness not on the behavior of others so let us not be deceived in being self-righteous for God is the judge.

Redemption
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 3. In our text today we see Hosea is reconciled to his wife after going out and purchasing her from her adulterous condition. In making application we see a picture of how Jesus-Christ redeemed us as He paid the price for us as we were in a lost condition. How about you? Do you see how Jesus paid the price so you could be reconciled to a Holy God? Let us learn from our text today and the example of Hosea and His wife Gomer who was unfaithful but Hosea sought after her and bought her in her sinful condition showing us a picture of redemption.

Loving Discipline
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the Book of Hosea with Chapter 2. In our text today we see the story of Hosea with the punishment and restoration of his wife Gomer. This story is a picture of Israel's unfaithfulness to the Lord and how He uses discipline to restore the relationship. In making application we see how the Lord loves us still disciplines us with the goal of restoration. We may stray from the Lord but the Lord loves us and will discipline us with the goal of restoration. How about you? Have you drifted from the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and life of Hosea to see that the Lord loves us and when we stray he disciplines us with the goal of our restoration.

Faithful
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the Book of Hosea with Chapter 1. In our text today we see Hosea's wife and children as this prophet's life and family relationship is to show the unfaithfulness of Israel to the Heavenly Father. In making application we see that those of us who have been saved and are children of God can examine ourselves to see if we have been faithful to our Heavenly Father. Today we have many things that try to tempt us to be unfaithful in service to our Heavenly Father. From the world, our flesh, and the devil we must walk in the light and focus on the Lord lest we too become unfaithful. How about You? Are you faithful to our heavenly Father? Let us learn from our text today and the life of Hosea and Gomer to see that we need to focus on the Lord and walk in the light to be Faithful in our lives in relationship to our Heavenly Father.

Heaven or Hell?
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book of Daniel with Chapter 12. In our text today we see more prophecy about the last days including resurrection and the lost and saved facing the Lord. In making application we see the Lord has given us a way to be saved. He has given us fulfilled prophecy and the testimony of the disciples in the Bible and the evidence is clear that we will stand before the Lord and face eternal life or eternal separation. How about you? Are you saved? Is you name written in the Lambs Book of Life? Let us learn from out text today and the prophecy of Daniel to see that we will stand before the Lord one day and face our sin - so are you saved and will you experience eternal life in Heaven or are you lost in which you will experience eternal separation from the Lord in a place that the Bible calls Hell.

Prophecy
Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue with the Book of Daniel with Chapter 11. In our text today we see Daniel's messenger predicts the future which is the definition of the word prophecy. This prophecy has come to pass with Alexander the Great, Israel's future, future governments, and the end times. In making application we see another account of the Bible being the Word of God is Prophecy. No other religious book contains fulfilled prophecy. These future events that have come to pass and the future events that will come to pass, show us that we can depend and place our faith on the Words on its Pages. How about you? Do you trust the Word of God. Let us learn from our text today and prophecy of Daniel to see that you can trust the Bible for it is the Word of God.

Our vision and mission is to distribute His Word in these last of the last days. Our Mission is to reach the 1/2 of the World who has never seen a Bible and the 75% of the World who does not own a Bible. Our Method is to simply depend on the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance as we inform the Body of Christ of the World Wide Bible Shortage. As the Holy Spirit burdens believers we will print, purchase, and recycle older Bibles, then network with Ministries and Missionaries to place Bibles in the hands of needy souls.  A special thanks to our Friends at the Spread the Word Bible College & Seminary for the Honorary Doctors of Divinity Degree.
